Attending to some chores then hoping to get outside on this beautiful day.
Our family is looking forward to supporting one of our friends by going to a local urban farm and attending her quartet's performance (classical music). Should be a nice afternoon.
Went to my first real show last night in 14 months and feeling positive. 15+ days since my second Moderna shot. Met up with some friends and saw the Band of Comerados at the patio of a local pub. With socially distant tables, it was a small crowd (probably 50 people tops) and people were chit chatting throughout, but it was still the best feeling. The band is a four piece acoustic act with a big sound and sick jams. Even got up to boogie for a sweet Cassidy and burned a phatty on the sidewalk with my buddy, It felt so "normal," I went into the bar to order another round of drinks and was told to put on my mask. That is the first time I have had to be reminded of that since this all began.
Saw my first live music last Sunday-Electric Waste Band at Aquarius Bar & Grill in Mission Beach. I had no idea the impact it would have. I got a major rush from the music and they played 2 very nice sets. Was a little crowded but w both my shots I was ok w it. They play every Sunday noon-3pm we will be back tomorrow
Bill Walton now shows up to most of their gigs to bang on drums. My take and what I said to my buddy who is the original lead guitarist and is a founding member - Get rid of Walton he is an annoyance. .
They still sound Grate and for free the price is right.
