After two years of hosting livestreamed events amid the pandemic, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass announced it will hold its popular San Francisco festival in person again.

“We are thrilled to return to Golden Gate Park,” reads a message on its website.

The free outdoor concert series is scheduled for Sept. 30 to Oct. 2, and the first round of artists is slated to be announced Tuesday, July 26, through “music medleys,” or snippets of audio that will clue fans in to who will be appearing on the lineup, organizers said.

Autumn in the park at the edge of the continent! San Francisco's best party.

Hardly Strictly Super Spreader?

If Sierra Ferrell is playing it I'm so in!

Interesting timing for the Sept 30 Billy Strings show at the Frost.

I also see that Charley Crockett is playing on Oct 2 at the Arlington Theatre in Santa Barbara. Possible slot on Oct 1 at HSBG? If you like old school sounding country, Charley is a rising big star with serious prolific songwriter totals already. He's loaded with great originals and has the onstage swagger of Dylan. He looks cool.

Yeah Lance, giving me pause. Those streams make it easier to miss. But I LOVE that fest, and visiting that city and my buddy over there. He lives a 10 minute walk from the fest. But with BA-5, 4 shots don't mean squat. He wants me to test the day I leave SLC if I go.

Hope you're feeling better.

It's an awesome event, but as great as it is and as glorious the setting (is there a better one? I'm not sure there is) even before the plague started raging around these parts again, the MASSIVE Hardly Strictly crowds have been pretty much a deal-breaker for me for a while now.

And thanks, I'm hanging in there.
