Has Democracy Now jumped the rails?

Forums:

I've actually been a fan of Amy Goodman in times gone by, but over the Trump years, I've not only drifted away but have raised an eyebrow on more than one occasion.

I'm a fierce advocate for social justice, but I think she / they don't quite get the whole "forest for the trees" aspect of remaining singularly focused on some of their pet issues at the expense of losing sight of the imminent danger Trumpism poses to our Republic / Democracy.

I always knew DN took a very pro-Palestinian posture and agree with focussing on the larger systemic issues that really deserve immediate attention, but I just took a look at their section dedicated to the current conflict as of Oct 7 and it's off the charts how much they almost completely dismiss the terror attack that killed > 1,300 people. Scan through the titles of stories from the current date back to the 7th:

I don't have any easy answers or solutions; however, I don't believe DN is helping matters by staking out a position that ignores the full scope of all sides and only serves to dilute Biden's support in what is a crucial election in 2024.

If the US goes full authoritarian, does Amy Goodman really believe the Palestineans (let alone the rest of the world) will be better off???
