I Need to Get To Tucson Arizona by 6 A.M. Thursday - When Do I Leave from Ventura county ? it has been kinda warm lately? I am pretty Much Ready to Go after a Fill Up of Gas BIG Family Reunion coming up ! tuesday or wednesday Is the Call To get there - time i am not sure . What do i need to bring ? i do have Pike Coffee.

Travel clean. I got stopped and searched in AZ a couple months ago - driving with CA tags. Pulled over for minor traffic violation on interstate. They asked my consent for a search, I said no. They brought out a dog that supposedly "hit" on my car...so they searched my car anyway. I had absolutely nothing on me and they found nothing...much to their disappointment. Fuck them.

Otherwise you might be driving after Midnight & before Dawn... right in Chupacabra turf.
Bring extra gallon or two of water, spare tire & jack, jumper cables, etc.

Leave around 10:00 a.m.
Leave around 10:00 a.m. Wednesday so that you can cross LA county before the afternoon traffic gets bad. Do not leave during the morning rush (6:00 to 10:00 a.m.) or late enought to hit the traffic starting about 2:00 p.m. Even so, anticipate slow traffic on the 101 approaching the 405.
If you leave at 10:00 you should get to Tucson well before midnight that same night, even with stops for meals and gas.
I don't know how much Phoenix traffic affects through travel, but if you are there late it probably won't matter.
If you can stay up all night, you should leave after 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and drive at night for a much easier drive.
