I haven't seen them but I have a friend who likes them.
From what little I've heard live their sound is what I call heroin music and is a bit raw, and I'm not a fan of simplistic chick drummers, but I may give this one a shot.
You never know unless you go.

I saw them open for Dinosaur, Jr in SF at The Independent. Liked H.O. better then the headliner.

Slow to plodding, methodical, floaty/dreamy in general style and vocal style in particular.
Cowboy Junkies version of Sweet Jane as an example.
Sonic Youth was way to intense for my personal label of "heroin music".
It's not a negative label, just a personal one to loosely describe a style.
Maybe they do more than what I've heard; as I said, I'm not well schooled on this group, just reacting to what little I have heard.
And Pedal Up, are you saying that Meg Baird is a great DRUMMER?
