Lets be honest fellas.....if you found yourself in a situation where you were unexpectedly doing a tour leg solo....wouldn’t you prefer a female to travel with? Be honest bros. I love women and they are generally way chiller and more pleasant to be on the road with...smell and look better too.

St. Mark you asked if I would go on tour with Goldy. My last tour was 2016 DNB in Hawaii. Unless the Dickinson brothers (or NMAS) go on tour in the right place at the right time, I'm not touring again. But as I said earlier, Goldy's an interesting guy, and if I were going on tour, I'd consider him.

I gotta say....I am surprised there isn’t more enthusiasm for this run. For those of us who came up with the GD, it doesn’t get more musically pure than this. Sure if fast music is what turns you on, I doubt you’ll find that. But the silence will speak volumes. Bobby and Phil are of one musical mind.
The Bobby/Bruce Hornsby shows a few years back were spectacular. Not in the in the rock your face off way but in evocative nuance. With my eyes closed listening deeply to Bruce and Bobby twine and chase each other, I had my breath snatched several times where I found myself listening to the purest thread of GD sound I’d heard since Jerry was alive. Like listening to a real GD soundboard and isolating the piano and rhythm guitar with a multi track mixer. A pure golden thread of the Grateful Dead.
This run will have that in spades. Different guests each night too. Im grateful it won’t be Phil, Bobby and five guitarists and band mates you’d never go see on their own. But thats just me.
