Where be the stream?

Bit of a shaky stream, sounds like a webcast rip

Seriously snoozing Cassidy now

Thanks UncleSam.  Good quality.

Yo Noodler. Nice link. You doing Couch tour?  Gonna see any shows?

Liked Bobby greeting the fans and apologizing for the ring rust.

Enjoying a non rainy day in Oregon, so no shows on this tour...   was going to clean the kitchen but with these tempos, maybe a nice rip and nap would be better, lol

(Beat it on down the line was so slow, made me think of that guy with the walker during the start of the movie "Office Space")

"just like a swiss watch"

(and just started pouring, so never mind the rain comment)

Its about time. Picking up the tempo with a hot Cumbies.

I'll just wait until tomorrow or Tuesday, so I can hear better-quality audio through good headphones, at work.

Dead & Co. is always better when I'm getting paid to listen.yes

Broadcast on SiriusXM

I think I'll go by MSG on the 14th and see if I can find a ticket for cheap.

When they were trying to play Cumberland tonight I was remembering seeing Phil & Friends do it at the Capital Theater a couple years ago and thinking "It's like a sewing machine" because it was so precise and smooth and light. Bob's Swiss watch comment was funny.

I missed half the first set, but enjoyed the show....  low energy, but had some nice spacey moments (funny Bobby comments)

Later that night....

Holly Bowling streamed her sets with Phil, cuz, busboy, JRAD lead guitarist,  what a great rocking freaking show (Phil Lesh, Holly Bowling, Ross James, Alex Koford, Tom Hamilton)!  Loved it!  High energy good time, nice space, and at one point in the second set they must have referenced a half dozen songs in a minute (well, grateful dead minute, could have been five, lol);  Dark star / wharf rat / eyes / here comes sunshine / stella blue,  forgetting a few...  the crowd busted up laughing!

Looking forward to hearing (and hopefully seeing) a few more Dead and co shows on the tour, but Phil continues to be the bomb!

What's all that stuff on the floor of The Garden in front of the soundboard? Looks like it all takes up a lot of seat space.

I think the soundboard is the front group and the lights are in the back.

def lights behind sound, plus cameras for side screens...lots of equipment w a lot of artists light shows these days

I knew I missed something.  Thanx bro.

It was a great show last night!

I went with a little hesitation but the show was really well played and fun.

Not as much slow-tempos. Greatest Story, Bobby played like the old days!

Sunday sermon encore with Samson and then they came back out with the Werewolves of London was killer!

Good times....laugh

Bunch of videos here: https://www.jambase.com/article/dead-and-company-fall-tour-madison-squar...

I still think the drumming is by far the worst part of the band. Mickey plays mud and Billy seems like he's giving it about 40% effort. Maybe it sounds better in person, but I kind of doubt it.

Limited edition poster:

oooh i love that poster!!!

my ex went last night and he was pretty happy (and he hasn't liked any combo since jerry died..)..

Great poster.

some cringe worthy shit this band produces. really bad.

They were also selling some cool NYC-centric posters.

dirty water hotdogs + deadco

sounds about right...

I would take the train up if I was on the guest list,  and I'm sure the light show is top-notch.  Tough to justify the $$ for tixx though.

The hockey Bears are just sooo adoooorable blush that would look great in the nursery next to Tickle Me Elmo and Big Bird !!

Yikes. Poster train wreck.

But,  but,  they are playing 'Ice Hockey'  with 'Field Hockey' sticks.
That's what makes it sooooo cuuuuute !!

Nice Greatestyes

the Butch Goring era helmet is a nice touch

and

Potvin sucks...

I like this one:

Found this site that is selling the posters for $12.

Not sure how legit this site is or the quality of the posters?

Nice photo of the great Madison Square up there

Approved

not a fan of any of those posters, but the Boston one is the best . See you kids Friday night

thought the warewolves was terrible, Chemnti solo saved it. The band is like those posters, ive seen them 4x and walked out of everyshow.

JRAD IS THE BEST GD GOING,THEY PLAY IT BETTER THAN THE DEAD!

Anybody go to the Knicks game last night?

I watched the Knicks game.

Good game, bad ending for the Knicks.

DONT FUCKIN TROLL ME, ASSHOLE! I CRUSHED bigger dicks then you on philzone.org just for fun!

After seeing over 250 Dead shows beginning in 1968 I feel I've got a good idea of what the music should sound like. I watched The Dead at Pac Bell Park last week which was the first time I'd seen them play a full set. I was thoroughly disappointed in the their lack of energy, tempo and sound. It was at times tedious and lacked continuity to the point that I wonder why anyone would pay to see them play. To make sure I wasn't being unfair to the band I listened to an old Dead concert the next day and the difference to me was astounding. Listening to the real thing is 100 times better than than this new band that slogs through most ot the material.

"I wonder why anyone would pay to see them play."

I'm with you, but I had an interesting interaction with a student earlier this semester that made me reconsider my harsh opinion.  She was in a class I was teaching, probably 19, and had a Dead 50th t-shirt on so I struck up a conversation.  I asked her if she had gone to Chicago and she said no but that she had just seen Dead$Co.  She was a Mayer fan and said "I'm just really glad that I got to see Bob Weir" , which made me realize that for a lot of young folks this is the only time they'll ever get a chance to see the remnants of the Dead and that's a big deal for some of them.  Hard to hold that against them.

Harshing newby's for getting on the bus is not very Dead like. Having a musical opinion is different though.

I don't say this often but I agree with Thom. These kids deserve to see Phil, Bob, Mickey & Billy play even if it's in the twilight of their careers!
