Hidalgo fall down, go boom

Forums:

Apparently David Hidalgo took a spill and won't be playing at the upcoming Lobos shows in Chicago.

Taking his place will be Dave Alvin.

From DAs Facebook:

Due to David Hidalgo suffering injuries in a bad fall a few days ago, I'll be sitting in with my old friends Los Lobos at their shows March 14 and 15 at the Tivoli Theater in Downers Grove (just outside Chicago). Thankfully, David is recovering smoothly and plans to be back onstage soon. No one can ever take the mighty Mr Hidalgo's place but the other Lobos and I will make some damn fun musical racket for a couple of nights in his honor. If you're in the ChicagoLand area, maybe I'll see you there.

I feel his pain.  Sitting on a chair with my feet underneath, Upper body left chair but feet remained.  A couple of feet to a carpeted floor.

Torn rotator cuff.

Find out next week if it will be steroid shot and meds or saurgery.

Be careful, citizens.

Ouch.  Sorry to hear that Aiq.  Heal up quick.

Heel up Hidalgo & Aiq.

Dave Alvin is like the L.A.  musical superman this year...he's everywhere doing everything. Get well soon, David!

Aiq, I hope you get well soon, a torn rc is miserable.

Thanks, good orthopedics in the mix but hope it is not surgery.

FWIW surgery sucks, but in my case RC surgery made a huge difference in how much pain I'm in. It's not 100%, but I can live with it, went from a pain level 8 to a 2. Doctor had me on injections for two years (!!!!) and pain meds-which I ditched after about a week because they didn't do much for the pain, but did make me loopy and sick to my stomach.

You can mail them to me if you don't like them
