theres been a development in
theres been a development in the world of laughing gas that i just recently learned about - apparently they are now selling 600g mini tanks of nitrous at smoke shops alongside the classic whippets. of course it comes with tubing and attachments to put the gas into a whipped cream charger, but sold separately you can also get a nozzle for the top that lets you fill balloons.
this means no more sourcing tanks for post-show deep dives into the ether. with whippets, the major limiting factor is how long it takes to fill a balloon compared to how short lived the high is - at a certian point you cant get higher, because you cannot fill balloons and inhale gas quickly enough, especially if youre being responsible and breathing oxygen when needed.
prior to the availability of these mini tanks, if you wanted to really have a serious nitrous session, you needed to source a tank, which IME often involved heading over to that part of the lot you know you shouldnt go to, dealing with people you know you shouldnt be dealing with. now, 80 bucks at a smoke shop gets you your own personal tank. good times in the US for nitrous enjoyers. unfortunate for the UK.
