Hostages / Prisoners Released

Forums:

What an amazing achievement! So happy for the families and their loved ones!.

I'm sure there's ugly parts to the deal, and things that may not digest well, but this foreign policy achievement by an actual fucking world leader makes this a landmark day.

Celebrations are in order.

Good job Joe.

It's all about The Art of The Deal

That is good news.  Of course, Trump is taking credit for it.

Watching this on ABC.

Fantastic!

How did this go down? (I'm too lazy to search for it, and I don't watch the news)

Years of negotiating, Mark. Kamala was pressing some of the participants back in Feb in Munich. 7 countries involved. Diplomacy from a world leader. Biden was on the horn with world leaders an hour before he decided to bow out. He had his priorities.

What a jerk. He got 5000 Taliban released into Afghanistan without  working with the Afghan gov'mt. He should take credit for that.

If I may say Mark, if there's ever a day to watch the f'in news, this is one of them. Biden and Harris to greet the hostages at the AF base.(Andrews?)

The only thing that sucks about this is that Navalny was part of the original negotiations before he died.

Thanks Slick.  When I read this title I thought maybe they were talking about the hostages in Palestine.  Were they ever released?

Looks like some really bad people were let go by our side. They should all have met Navalny's fate.

Israeli hostages not released and Bibi just took out the Hamas moderate politician who was negotiating for their release.

Until someone takes out Bibi, the Israeli hostages don't stand a chance of seeing freedom.

Bibi is as self serving and awful  as Trump
