There is a lot more you can ask for--like Song for the Fire Maiden or Sunrise Dance With The Devil or Invitation--but hey, take what you can get--wish I was back in NYC.
Red Butte? Actually it's a real nice place to see a show. A bit chatty, but you can bring in your own coolers. Look for Utah Jen up front.
Hoople, Hot Tuna opening for the Wood Bros and TTB sounds real good, but I wouldn't be surprised if the yackers will be a problem for the acoustic opener.
I got a GREAT TTB show last year with a great seat and a "Midnight in Harlem" that was incredible.
The Egyptian Theatre will be a venue where you can hear Tuna. John Mayall coming this summer to the Egyptian also. See ya around town. Bernie here next Friday.
But it's all on TunaBase. So anyhow, the whole day was a fun adventure. Took the Jerseyland Transit train up to Penn NYC, had a Pint & Slice at Rose's by LIRR and took the Subway to lower Manhattan (actually there's some hitch so we got on a Bus) and rode Staten Island Ferry.
Show was Awesome. We had cushy mezzanine seats, and Sound was fantastic. Stopped at the Cafe next door after for a Jug-Band show; couple guitarists, Uke, Washtub bass, Washboard.
Ferry ride back we had a Gunboat riding Shotgun. Then the subways weren't running !! We got lucky with a cab and made the last train by a Chinchilla Hair. We literally had to run from the Cab to the platform. It was like "The Warriors" except no 'Baseball Furies' or 'The Lezzies' to fight off. Although the feral junkies at SI ferry terminal were getting a bit rambunctious that time of night.
