Huggin' And Chalkin'

Forums:

Over this holiday weekend my brother and I and a family friend started playing fun songs from our childhood years. Dr. Demento, Roger Miller, and others were usually playing in my childhood home, with my Mother and Father at the DJ position. So this song was remembered:

We never thought it was offensive and I laughed at the visuals playing in my head, yes I had visionary hearing from a young age.

What other fun quirky songs did you grow up with? Grow up being a very flexible term here.

Give.

Since you mentioned Roger Miller, You Can't Roller Skate in a Buffalo Herd comes to mind.

I loved The Jungle Book, wow thank you for sparking that memory. What great animation was that?

Fuck CGI CGI is like fluorescent light compared to the sun. Cold harsh and gives me a headache.

The point . You don't need a point to have a point.

This was sung in the kitchen on many occasions!

Fun fact: Hoagy Carmichael was a lawyer.  Joined a firm then quit to write songs.

Dr Demento was a childhood latenight radio hero

there was a song about Marvin the (martian/robot?)

and the chorus was "marvin, i love you..."

the song was wacky and also romantical, so it was a fave

anyone post
