Humble bragging about my girly

Forums:

The first thing my daughter got into as far as extracurricular activity was flag band.

I forget what the real name of it is but you know that thing where you throw flags or rifles or what not.

That started in junior high and her arms were ripped from that lol.

it's amazing how strong and coordinated you have to be. And how many concussions one can get from it #yikes

In 8th grade her show won the state championship and that show was crazy awesome. ((((TribalAffect))))

Anyway, since then she's become a theater kid.

She has played such roles as Charlotte in Charlotte's Web in a local community theater production.

She's had a couple of other roles that were really intense.

In her last show, she turned out to be the psycho killer at the end, after murdering the goofy but suspicious Toby by leaping onto his back and snapping his neck.

It almost feels like this has been told here before but either way I'm sharing. Lol

We just found out tonight that she got the role of Judas in Judas iscariat and she's ***so*** excited and grateful! rehearsal begins Wednesday..

A lot of you folks with kids here have very accomplished ones as you yourselves are.

Not so much for me just because my life has been what it is.

What makes my heart burst is, at 22, my daughter already knows herself so well and has confidence and beloved friends from all aspects of her so complicated so young life.

As I tell her all the time, having grown her in my body was the most insane wonderful humbling fortuitous event that this mama has had the fortune to have experienced.

I told her she's gonna fuck up jesus so bad

Wanna brag about your kiddos? Please feel free to join in

Don't have kids of my own, but over 40 years I sure had some of yours.

Teaching lower elementary or special needs teens becomes very personal.

Here are some of "my" kids...

I loved every one of those knuckleheads.

Congrats to your girl, Jill, she's making life happen.

Lance, I bet you were great with them.

You'd have to ask them about that Judit, but I (usually) did my best.

It's damn hard to be a kid, they deserve to be treated with respect and love.

And don't get me wrong folks, I'm well aware that being a teacher isn't even in the same solar system as being a parent.

I've always been in awe of the sacrifice all you parents have to make, raising those ungrateful, beastly little bastards.

It's the best thing anyone can do.

Way to go parents!

So happy for you , Jill!  That time really does fly.

funny, lance, that's how i feel about teachers

and

LOVE the pix

thanks, judit and jaz

i can't believe she'll be 23 and a college graduate by spring

and she genuinely only exists because of the PhilZone

Jill,

Loved your post and the confirmation that you done good. How many of us freaks had difficult relationships with parents.

May your daughter continue to spread her wings and fly!

I married a 4 year old and his mother. Ina May Gaskin caught our bio-boy. They have each become very different men, but close to us and each other.

They (We) Love Each Other ... oh, you can see that it's true.

Loe this thread!  Way to go Jilly P and Tom!
