HVAC info request...Attn Tim

I have a carrier system and my blower motor is shot, plus I'm low on coolant. 

Was given an price of $2200 to replace the motor, between $500-$1000 to recharge the system,  then comes finding the leak.

The tech also said it'd be about $10000 to replace. It's a 2 ton unit. 

I'm digging around on thd web and am seeing a range of prices from approximately $5000-$10000 for replacement.

The unit is 10 years old.

I am likely going to replace it, but would it be foolish to repair? 

Is $10000 a decent estimate for a 2 ton unit?

Any information is greatly appreciated.
