they sell ear washing bottles on amazon and at pharmacies. i had this happen to me right before a furthur show i was really exited for and they flushed it out with some thing called the elephant ear washer, which ive seen available on amazon. recently it happened again and i got an ear washer bottle from rite aid that doesnt seem as good as the elephant, but it works fine. basically its like a spray bottle with a little hose and nozzle on the end that you stick in your ear so you can flush it out with a stream of water. takes quite a bit of flushing, but feels great when you get it out. i cant stand any kind of feeling of pressure, like when my nose is stuffed up, it drives me absolutely insane, so i much prefer to do it at home where i can get it done asap and not have to deal with going to the doc. great tool to have under the sink. youll hardly ever use it, but when you need it you'll be really happy you have it.

Welcome to my world kids. I've dealt with significant sinus/inner ear pressure for decades. Doctors (and there have been many) have never been able to figure out exactly why. Go figure.

Probably the best advice I've ever gotten was a doc telling me that I need to learn to live with it, which eventually I did. Sucks that it's gotten worse in the past couple of years, but what the hell, my saying now is, "It could be worse, and it probably will be". Always makes me feel better in the moment.

I also deal with ear wax issues, but I just go to my doc and let them blast it out, similar to the home ways daylight spoke of, but they're better at it.

As for ringing in the ears? Ho. 48 years of bad drumming and 38 years of working big league 100+ decibel rock concerts have left a permanent concert inside my head, but you gotta' pay to play, and I've enjoyed all of the drumming and shows, so I live with that as well.

Anyway, glad you're feeling better Plf, clogged ears really suck.

What a relief!!
Surfer's ears are problematic.

Mine was once closed for 3 years.

Can you say claustrophobia ?

Glad you're back.

what  ....   ???

Grate news Rob!

You can say that again!

No, really... please repeat it, I didn't hear you clearly.

I see what ya did there, G.  Hope your summer is off to a great start.

i have teeth in my ears. oh and lots of wax. one drilled out, has re-occurred.

ear issues suck. i've seen a show w/ an infection and had the door open and slammed shut the whole show. wild stuff.

I've had ear problems too and it sucks. Really glad you got your world turned around. My one ear seemed to be collecting water in the shower for a while but that stopped.

I have had an irrigation a time or two and I know one time it REALLY helped.

Now, for preventive maintenance, I just lay on the floor once a month and have my wife step on my head and use the toilet bowl plunger on my ear.

For those with vertigo or balance issues, the crystals in your ear can get messed up and I use the Epley maneuver for that. Look it up on You Tube if you need it. Takes 2 minutes and it works.

I tried that, but it didn't work.

lmao, i had to google this for more info. was just kinda skimming the thread, mind wandering, skimmed your post and thought "what? now these hippies are putting magic crystals in their ears?

Be careful if doing a home ear flush. I bought a kit and did this a few years back and ended up with a bad ear infection (first one ever).  No Fun.  I recommend using sterile saline solution if doing a home ear irrigation. Also sterilize that bulb syringe or any other apparatus used in the procedure.

I use  10% hydrogen peroxide. A squirt in the ear and the bubbles take over. Not sure how well it works but the bubbles are fun.

I do the same , Mark. The local CVS is happy to give a syringe to flush.

Glad you have a new ear, plf. It's a wonderful feeling and experience.

shit, y'all

thinking my few weeks of this was unbearable

my hippie ass had hubby ear candle me 2x now. it is better than it was.

Mark i also did the peroxide. it is more fun to watch it bubble on cuts and such

best of whatnot to those suffering. it is so shitty in so many ways

and yea major congrats to Rob&TheClearEared!!!!!!!!!!!!!
