I could use a new good tool / have some Disco stu questions too

"Better head for Jerry's",

is what they say around here.

Im a Bosch kinda guy. Saw Jerry's has an add for an 18volt drill and impact gun for $149.

I already have one of each but mine are 12 volt packs. The 18's have more punch. Though if I can find a package with the 18v guns and a new worksite radio I'd be happy as a clam.

Disco Stu, if your out there:

I'm ready to purchase another Sthil. Thinking about the 291 farmboss with a 20" bar. Need something for large fell trees and endless firewood cuts on 12"-16" rounds. Hope all is well man. Pet H.I.M for me

Well, I like the Bosch 18 Volt and also the DeWalt 18 Volt stuff I have. They do the job. There are saws, drills and other stuff. A Bosch planer went dead; probably only 30 hours on it.

I ought to mail it back for a warranty claim.

My last Stihl purchase was a brand-new MS 362. It's a great Saw, and I run a 20" bar, 72 drive links, 3/8" pitch, .050 gauge chain. I can say that it is miles ahead over my old 026 Stihl, but not too much heavier. With the proper full-chisel Pro chain, it cuts quite nicely. Now I'm experimenting with Tungsten-Carbide chain, but that is a different world.

And while I like my 362 (modern version of 036) it is best to get high-octane gas for your 50:1 mix, or better yet, go to the Boat store/Marina for Ethanol-free gas. The Ethanol slurps water-vapor from the air and fucks up everything. A costly saw runs great on pure Gas, but H2O makes it run crappily.

I hope that I have answered some of your questions in an accurate manner. Hope to see you when next Back East :)

I don't like the jobsite radios.  You can get just as good sound out of a Bluetooth speaker.  Unless you need the extra battery charger I think those things are pretty bulky for what they are.
