ICE Remedy...

Forums:

Saw in the rain thread where BrightDay has nasty Ice conditions. Molten snow refrozen, with glaze on top. Slippery and dangerous.

The cure is woodstove ashes (or fireplace). I keep a couple 5-gallon buckets w/ lids around. You want to put them in a metal bucket at first in case of hot cinders, then transfer into the plastic after a few days. One bucket covers a few hundred feet of driveway, two tire-tracks.

Sprinkle a little thin layer (I use a tin can) on your paths or driveways. Voilá ! Instant traction, no slip. Better than salt.

Price is right, too.

Tips are appreciated. Thanks.

Why you bump ancient threads,  fuckstick?

I didn't bump anything outdated or irrelevant. It's all pertinent. Thanks.
