interesting comment - AI and Robots

Forums:

i produce corporate meetings and events..we recently had ' Spot ' the MIT Robot Dog for a demo...

While doing a walk thru pre event i was being very vocal about not trusting the robot or ' anything else that listens or has AI ' and the MIT  engineer robot dude turns to me and goes ' Dude, NONE of our AI and Robot engineers have any of that stuff in their houses, no smart Thermostats, Alexa's, internet enabled appliances...that shit is scary '

Hrmmmmm

There's only one robot I'd trust ---  the B9 Class M-3 General Utility Non-Theorizing Environmental Control Robot or just Robot for short. He plays guitar and the chicks love him.

"Danger Danger! Will Robinson."

In a similar way, I've read that many execs of social media companies don't allow their kids to use social media. It's almost like they know there's a problem there

Yeah I know the guy who wrote Apache the code that runs the internet and he wraps his Fast Track toll booth pay device in alluminum foil when he doesn't need to use it. Those highway signs that tell you how long it will take to get somewhere all based on data from those devices, but the reality is there is no way to opt out as long as you use a smart phone.
