Neptune guitarist Marc Muller, a longtime player for Shania Twain who most recently worked for Springsteen on the 2019 “Western Stars” LP and its companion film, is enlisting some of his top-shelf colleagues for Sidemen Center Stage: The Musicians Behind the Artists.
Happening Friday, Dec. 3, at the Vogel at the Count Basie Center for the Arts on Monmouth Street in Red Bank, the show is a musicians-in-the-round evening with individual mini-sets and a collaborative jam.
Muller will be joined by Jon Herington, guitarist for Steely Dan on record and on stage since 1999, along with longtime Bob Dylan bassist Tony Garnier, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes keyboard player Jeff Kazee and Paris Monster drummer Josh Dion.

That's some damn fine players
That's some damn fine players getting together for that one. I will also mention that The Vogel is an almost brand new space at The Basie Center and has wonderful acoustics and fine sight lines. Hell, because of it's newness and various Covid protocols, the floor isn't even sticky with spilt drinks. Bonus.
