Without a doubt the most influential album to come out on this day 50 years ago with classics of the pop culture songbook such as "Come and Buy my Toys" and "Sell Me A Coat", this album redefined how music was made and what we came to expect from an album. A day in the life of david bowie, and produced with a little help from his friends, it's as if this album fixed a hole in the collective consciousness of us all.
