It's about time,, Michigan shooter content

Local news had this - "There's no Michigan law that requires gun owners keep weapons locked away from children. McDonald, however, suggested there's more to build a case on." 

They are being charged with involuntary manslaughter.    Dad bought the gun on Black Friday and four days later kid took the gun to school and shot a whole bunch of students.

Apparently, the kid was caught on Monday searching for ammunition on his cell phone in class, which prompted the disciplinary referral.  Mom then texted kid saying:  "LOL, I  am not mad, you just have to learn not to get caught."

YES...I'm guessing they gave the kid the gun (as a present?), and allowed him to possess it without adult supervision. Evidently, the parents ar ardent 2A supporters.

Proud Boys to hold ‘Kyle Rittenhouse appreciation rally’ in SLC on Saturday

Several other local militia groups are co-sponsoring the Second Amendment Rally.

The far-right Proud Boys and other right-wing militia groups plan to hold a “Kyle Rittenhouse Appreciation” event at Washington Square in downtown Salt Lake City on Saturday from noon until 2 p.m.

The event is billed as a sort of heavily armed potluck. Expect lots of guns, along with hot chocolate, apple cider, desserts, flags, “Let’s Go Brandon” signs, and probably lots more guns.

So are the good citizens of SLC going to crash the Proud Boy party and chase those crazy fascists out of town? 

In the meantime, the fugitive parents of the school shooter have been apprehended hiding in a basement.

Proud boys  will give the NRA parents of the year their own parade after they're done celebrating Rittenhouse  and his parents.

PONTIAC, Mich. — The parents of a teen accused of killing four students in a shooting at Oxford High School were found hiding in a Detroit building early Saturday, several hours after a prosecutor filed involuntary manslaughter charges against them, officials said.

James and Jennifer Crumbley were captured in a commercial building that housed artwork, Detroit Police Chief James E. White said at a news conference. They were scheduled to be arraigned at 9:30 a.m. ET Saturday.

The Crumbleys' attorney, Shannon Smith, said Friday that the pair had left town earlier in the week "for their own safety" and would be returning to Oxford to face charges. But White seemed to dismiss the possibility that was their intention.

"This isn't indicative of turning yourself in — hiding in a warehouse," White said.

White said the couple "were aided in getting into the building," and that a person who helped them may also face charges.

A Detroit business owner spotted a car tied to the Crumbleys in his parking lot late Friday, Oakland County Undersheriff Michael McCabe said in a statement. A woman seen near the vehicle ran away when the business owner called 911, McCabe said. The couple was later located and arrested by Detroit police.

He added that the parents appeared to be "distressed" when they were captured.

"Head down... just very upset," he said of one of the parents.

Rather than antagonize the a-holes, I may just go down with a peaceful approach.

"Kyle DESTROYED HIS AR-15 and SUPPORTS BLACK LIVES MATTER.

Ever get the feeling we're outnumbered ? 

Actually Jaz, I DID snicker, as most people using that derogatory term use two syllables, and I chuckled to myself that he wasn't smart enough to remember two syllables.  

Here's the story I shared with a friend this morning.

I got there a little late due to a frustrating four-stop odyssey trying to get the sign printed. ($30 for a poster for an hour? F that.) When I got there, there were at about 40 people still there. Not a cop in sight (at least not on duty and in uniform) so I stayed on the sidewalk down the walkway from them near State Street. One guy came up and had on a Utah Ute sweatshirt so I initiated a conversation about the game on Friday. We chatted amiably. Then his wife came by, and read my sign as she passed, and then opened the door of a truck right by us full of pro-trump stickers and flags in the back. She kinda glared while me and her husband talked Rose Bowl and football. I asked the guy about media being around and he said there was one left across the street so I walked to the FOX news truck and asked the guy if he wanted a shot of an opposing opinion. He thought “WTH” and took some video. No interview. Then I went back and thought with no media around and not wanting to get into useless confrontations with no cops visible, I just stayed on the sidewalk area with my signs. After a while I decided to leave and as I walked across the lawn at City Hall, I recognized the loud laugh of one of the Proud Boy assholes from the January rally at the Utah Capitol. So I walked past the group of about 15 of ‘em with their guns and green vests and as I did, I turned my sign so they could read it. “Fag!” was the first response. I continued walking and this guy was hollering at me that my sign was wrong because Kyle bought 2 more AR-15’s after he had his other destroyed. I didn’t want to bother questioning his source for that story. I showed you the video from the Utah Capitol on Jan 6th and didn’t want that scene, especially without a cop around. There were 15 of them and one of me. So I kept walking as he kept shouting at me.  As I was leaving, this woman on a bike was there listening to all that and as I approached her, we chatted (she’s a liberal and wondered if they’ll make a hero of the 15 year-old in Michigan). She took a pic and thanked me for giving her a laugh.  I’m guessing the “rally wasn’t all that well-attended but I got there about 1:15 and it started at noon.

Yeah Fishcane, talk about tone deaf and poor timing. A Bundy-type politician (from Nevavda?) did that a few years ago.  

BTW, no media coverage of yesterday's rally that I've seen, except for one pic on the local FOX twitter feed posted from the rally before FOX left for a pro-choice rally at the Capitol, which had even fewer people. The two Sunday papers have nothing and I didn't see anything on the TV stations, so good, their big event is a non-event for most people in town.
