Thanks Stringtwang, that is cool ! I googled it and found a wonderful pic...I am fascinated with it. Many moons ago I lived in Maine with my ex husband ( he was a logger) in a town called Lincoln , Maine. We awoke one morning to a sight similar to this one below...it was amazing and I will never forget the stillness of time I felt as I walked about, will never forget it. You could only get around on snowmobiles as it was really bad. We went to a dance at a barn and they sprinkled sawdust on the floor so you could dance better.....:)

Crazy cold here. We have T-shaped hallway that runs through the middle of the apartment. No baseboard heating along it.
The walls there are ice cold. Threw a big-ass towel over the AC to block drafts, which seems to have helped some in the living room.
