I went to see James Maddock tonight and his talent & charisma almost took me out of my sour mood.
I couldn't get a date as I had wished. You know how that can be.
Both friends & family said they would go & came up with reasons not to go with me at the last second. (So I ate the seat).
Most of James Maddock's song are upbeat, and even when mellow. very uplifting. He stayed away from the tear jerkers
Sounds like he drank Scotch & smoked weed all night with a voice somewhere in between Ian Hunter & Rod Stewart.
Clever song writer with excellent guitar skills & catchy hooks.
While at the show, I was trying hard not think about my situation and he played a song that really hit home.
"Better on my Own" . I'm better on my own, better on my own. I tell myself as I walk alone.

James was very cool. Met him after the show.
Check him out if you can. He's worth it. His new CD "Insanity vs. Humanity" just came out.

Thanks so much. You know I
Thanks so much. You know I appreciate it. Being here helps.
James Maddock smiled the whole time and didn't let the mood turn sad.
I was much later to the theater then usual and the mgr said "just come in we know who you are and don't need a ticket". That made me feel wanted.
I posted ths in the fiddle thread. But it's the last song I heard tonight.
