I love that Maine pic. I took this oct.10, 2021 at waterside near me in NE Ok. I was watching the sunset and stayed well after......Right place, right time. Lasted maybe 3 minutes like this.
Sunday's sunset on the coast (between Yachats and Waldport). We got to stay an extra day (for free) due to the HW's all being closed. Wish I could have gotten some pics of the destruction, and the spectacular sun thru ice views (never seen anything like it, entire valleys), but just too dangerous when driving on ice! The drive back was much safer than expected, but once in town, everything was a sheet of ice. Barely got my friend unpacked at his place (walked on the icy grass, it crunched instead of slipped). Fortunatley, my neighbor has those strap on cleats, no way I could have unloaded the truck at home w/o them. Saw plenty of folks slip and fall on the sidewalk as it was! Hunkered down for round 2 this afternoon! Rain into 20 degree air, no bueno!
I've tried that before, doesn't work as well when your carrying your guitar amplifier like I was yesterday, so ordered cleats from Amazon today (and I rarely ever use amazon, figure they'd be sold out locally).

Hi, Mark :) That pic ius from the January issue of my favorite magazine , The Sun. 2024 is it's 50th year in production. Usually around 50 pages or less, always entirely in black and white. Completely reader subscription supported. No ads, ever. No topic is off limits: joy, love, pain, friendship, children, elderly, end of life, death murder, rape, oursociety at large, wall street wolves, nurses, hospice care........anything under the Sun :) It used to be - not sure anymore - but I believe this was / still is the most "subscribed to" magazine in the american prison industry.
Started by and still produced ( he's chief editor) by a guy named Sy Safransky, who in '74, did a heroic dose of lsd, and while standing on a street corner in France, had a vision for the magazine he wanted to make. (his own words). The rest is history.
Incredibly humble and intelligent man. He's a guy i look up to.....often. Below are his humble beginnings in ('74?) He's the one in the window....almost a replica of Jerry Hope you're doing well :)
