Jerry Garcia’s Guitar, Wall of Sound Equipment & More Grateful Dead Items Going Up for Auction

Forums:

I get people in the family have to eat and provide for their future--and garage sales happen every weekend, but...  https://www.msn.com/en-us/music/news/jerry-garcia-s-guitar-wall-of-sound-equipment-more-grateful-dead-items-going-up-for-auction/ar-AANJSo3?ocid=msedgntp

I will say, still my favorite sound for the band is the 1965-1966 Guild Starfire Garcia used to play (for sale here) and Pig's vox organ when it was raw and fresh.  Then, I go for the first Irwin guitar years-Wolf, followed by the Alligator Strat years and then the second Irwin in terms of the sound evolution

The shell case of Jerry's amp would be nice, although I think it will go for more than 2-3 grand

chemistry set from Owsley - another great piece

well there's the Nudie pants but where's the jacket ?

I didn't read if any of the stuff came from Phil. He owns a bunch of Jerry stuff. I helped move a bunch of it from one location to another. I wonder if this is the amp up for auction?Jerry Amp 1.jpg

Oh wow, cool

Another one of Jerry's.Jerry Amp 2.jpg

While moving the amps I heard a sound of something rolling around in the back of one of them. I discovered this inside the amp. I thought it was pretty cool to be holding a can of finger ease that Jerry used.Finger Ease.jpg

I guess Jerry didn't do ash trays...

Fascinating!  Thanks for the images Peak.
Have never heard of that guitar spray, is it still a thing?

Great pictures Peak

If there are more, keep them coming please !

:)

Speaking of ash trays. I saw this at a collective type store. I asked the guy to see it and he gave me this long story how it used to belong to Jerry and he used it on stage all the time. I took this photo and showed it to Steve Parish. He said "No fucking way." Needless to say I didn't buy it. I think he wanted 60 bucks.Ash Tray.jpg
