Jimmy Carter

Forums:

Rest in Peace.

Put on some Allman Brothers.

Yes indeed.

Just couldn't bear the thought of Jan 20

He was the man! RIP Jimmy and thank you

God Speed, President Carter, and Thank You.

RIP.  Most honest, decent, and thoughtful POTUS in a long time.  Champion of peace and human rights.  A true Christian who walked the walk.  God bless you.

Hopefully they didn't break the mold.

A true treasure of a human. And He did a lot for us (all of us on the planet) while President.

I am celebrating him and that he lived to be 100 years old; I guess he really wanted to stick around, even without Rosalyn.

heart

I already had respect for him when I was a youngster, and then I read about him having Dylan and Hunter Thompson

at the Governors Mansion.....and every wonderful humanitarian thing he did.

    Nobody else like that man.

This incoming clown could only hope to have a fraction of the class Carter had.

Such an honorable man, many stories could be told.

A friend was a fishing guide (Oregon / Alaska / Mongolia).  Jimmy did a Mongolia tour with him.  My friend showed him a specific knot for this river, but Jimmy said he'd use the one that worked for him, only it didn't...  so he learned the new knot.  Later, Jimmy wrote a 6 paragraph report on his fishing trip to Mongolia, and catching the largest of the Salmon species.  4 of the paragraphs were about my friend, and the lesson of humility...  as Jimmy repented for not listening, and was wrong, and should have been humble...   even in the most simple of great adventures, the man was the definition of class and integrity!

Something to be thankful for during this holiday season.....

Carter passed before the incoming "I want to screw my oldest daughter" administration.

They would have pissed, crapped and spit on his grave, just like they did with  John McCain & John Lewis.

Carter had one of the best second acts ever. RIP Jimmy Carter.

James Earl Carter created jobs in the Renewable Energy Field decades before they became even more practical due to skyrocketing Energy prices today. My first job after graduating from College was selling Solar Energy Panels Door to Door in Florida. That entire Industry benefited from Jimmy's Initiative to create 40% Tax Credits towards any Renewable Energy devices, be it Wind, Solar or Geothermal. This spurred USA manufactured Solar Panel Equipment, Sales & Installation Teams, mostly across the US Southern 'Sunbelt' but also available throughout the USA. The rationale was to foster a Free, non-polluting Energy source, that we would not have to put troops in harm's way to protect. Imagine that.

Of course, Ronald Ray Gunz cost me a job when he dismantled Carter's progressive Energy Policies and ridiculed them, even dismantling functioning Solar Energy Panel from the roof of the White House. Your tax dollars at work. The Bushes continued the Warmonger trend with 'The Project For A New American Century', a dystopian vision that we are livng in today.

God Bless a visionary Man who walked the walk, President Jimmy Carter!!! Rest In Peace
