I had no respect for Carter until after he left office. His post-Presidency should be seen as a model for all who follow him.
Happy birthday, Jimmy. I think you're probably still around because we desperately need an example of how politics and decency don't have to be mutually exclusive.
And a really good health care team. Dude might break the record for longest run in hospice care.
Jimmy was the most like a normal guy as any of the Presidents during my D.C. years (1973-1990). He had good taste in music, hosting everyone from the Allman Brothers to Bill Monroe. His brother had a beer named after him, and took a leak on the outside of the White House.
The common American worker would not be so well-represented again until Bill Clinton's term.
I can't help but wonder if he knew Rosalynn was going to die before him and accelerated his entry into hospice in order to assuage her fears of leaving him alone?
Or, maybe he's just been hanging on to see what unfolds in the nation he served with honor?
Actually as with all voting in the US it depends because we like to be like a third world country when it comes to voting:
In Georgia, even if he reaches the end of his life before Election Day, that vote will still count.
In all, Spectrum News found at least 29 states where those votes would count. Nine states have laws that explicitly accept ballots from people who vote early, but die before Election Day. Another 20 state election offices, including New York, Ohio, and Texas, told Spectrum News they don’t have a law on the books, but would accept the votes.
On the other hand, 10 states, including Wisconsin, have laws that ban those ballots from being accepted. Five states, including North Carolina and Kentucky, don’t have a law on the books, but say they would not accept the ballots.
Three other states, including South Carolina, say it depends on the situation. Which I guess in SC means if you are Republican and die your vote counts and if you are Democrat and die your vote doesn't count.

Happy birthday, Jimmy.
Happy birthday, Jimmy.
I'll always remember Reagan's illegal Iran-Contra deal that kept the hostages captive until Reagan was inaugurated .
Reagan was the beginning of the current Trump-christo-fascist alliance.

No doubt. And they must be especially good because one of things that has to be pulling on him is the loss of his beloved Rosalynn.

Is probably the best human
Is probably the best human being ever to be President of these United States. Not a very good President though. Too nice a guy.
He had solar panels put on the roof of the Whitehouse.
One of the first things douchebag reagan did was pull them down. And I agree AIQ.

Interesting. Figured it was
Interesting. Figured it was a National policy.
My mom's mail-in ballot in Virginia was nullified when she passed before Election Day in 2020.
