Goose tour will also be broadcast

I've never been able to get into the Tedeshi/Trucks band. Maybe too much going on?

But those two definitely know good music, as they were at a little club in Berkeley last night checking out the Nels Cline, Scott Amendola, Phillip Greenlief Trio.

I'm seeing that trio tonight in a little place in Palo Alto and I'm certain that after the show I won't be whistling anything they play. The improvisational weirdness factor will be off the scale.

Just the way I like it.

Going to see JRAD in person at Red Rocks on Saturday, and TTB in Reno on Tuesday. Like an in-person couch tour. Looking forward to both shows, especially Red Rocks where Branford Marsalis will be a special guest. And Little Feat as an opener on Tuesday ain't so bad either. See you there!

hope you had a weird show, lance !! sounds like my cuppa as well

ttb's keep on growing kept on going at too many shows, and, that's the best description: too much going on

jrad would be fun in my backyard. otherwise, im not putting forth effort to see them

Maybe. It's a big band, and not a stripped down affair.

One of the things I really like about TTB is it's like a different kind of church. They bring exuberance and joy to a world that is severely lacking in those things. And then there's Derek's playing, and Susan's singing and playing, which work for me in so many ways. What is it you used to say, Lance, about just wanting a little rock and roll? They've got that in spades, not to mention blues, funk, gospel, and soul. Seeing them for me is very much like attending a revival, and next Sunday I'll be happy to be attending church at the Greek in LA.

Never saw Jrad before this stream, boy are they hot. Then to be able to click on TTB and finish up the evening sure was great.  Getting ready to do it all over again tonight. I'm digging this Nugs membership.

JRAD from last night at Red Rocks.

This one deserves your undivided attention... there's another folder of flac files that sound better but this is the link to recording w/ entire setlist ...

Check out this show by Joe Russo's Almost Dead from Sat, Jun 1, 2024 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Live Music Archive!

LLOLLO is wise. Was lucky enough to be there at the Rocks and they delivered the goods. Very spacey and out there. Branford was great. The sound was spectacular, weather was perfect. My favorite JRAD show I've ever seen. This band can border on wankery and there was some of that of course, but it was a truly heavy, psychedelic show. What a night!

I'm on round 2 of listening, ha! I've seen JRAD at RR and elsewhere... this is an epic performance.

Marsalis should be a permanent band member.

Jen & I rarely travel further to shows, than we can easily drive.
That said, Red Rocks has been a bucket list venue, so we did it.
Flew out the night before Vail, grabbed a rental, and drove up into the mountains.
The altitude fucks with me, but Vail is an amazing little town, and the Ford Amphiteatre is a treasure!
Fantastic show.
Stayed in Golden the next day, had an amazing time at Red Rocks. Yes, it lives up to all the hype.
A decidedly younger crowd for that one, and all that brings (folks passing out, puking, etc), though the staff there is clearly used to dealing w stuff.
Branford fit in quite tastefully. I feel like once the band got over the urge to queue him or give him room, he was able to mesh in very naturally.
As a treat, we got Russo's Selcouth Quartet at the Bluebird Theater the 3rd night, with Tom Hamilton solo acoustic opening set.
The relationship between JRAD, and the "JRAD Fam" folks who see every show, is pretty special.
The band is very accessible, usually can be found out & about in town the day of a show.
Chatted breifly with Tom outside after his set, he remembered us from Portland.
So glad we made the trek, but very happy to be back at sea level in Maine.
More JRAD at Hampton Beach in 2 weeks! Can't wait.
