The issue could be that the math questions are already too challenging.

BTW: I understand that there are 3 administrators for this website.

And I personally have no issue with the need to sign in regularly, especially if it provides added security.

I don’t have an issue signing in regularly but damn this maybe the most secure password, I’ve ever had to create, capitals, numbers, symbols, oh joy.

i think it's  Dorkstor, as in 'the dorkstor called, they're all out of you' (not you specifically, Judit, but the collective 'you').

this is one of the main reasons i dont zone much anymore. sometimes i am browsing from a phone, and it does not remember my password...and i cant for the life of me ever remember my password for this place.

there are so many absurd requirements, easily the most for any website i have login info for. most common requirements like "a mix of upper and lower case" or requiring numbers and symbols have no actual bearing on how hard the password is to crack. a series of random numbers is the only thing that is significantly harder to crack.

password cracking software can make billions of guesses per second... having a few exclamation points is not going to make that much of a difference.

in any case, most of our issues with passwords on the old zone seemed to relate to people giving their away, or having them guessed by another zoner.

i dont see any issue with thew math question, although it seems like overkill for a drugband message board.

it would be one thing if it provided any kind of added security for the issues we might deal with, but it simply doesnt. it is just overcomplicated and annoying, something to add to a website when you dont really understand how to make it more secure, so you just throw the kitchen sink at it and cross your fingers.

I don't post much here,if ever,but its not because I can't add or remember my password.

From my perspective of having two major hacks on my identity,email and scammers in the past six months.....Kudos to Judit and all the administration that is involved.I'm for security.

If you are annoyed about logging in, perhaps you might be lazy.Or you're just too used to the main stream Pavlovian Dog Internet "Apps" that have sucked in America  and others into pushing a "like"  button .This site gives great news and keeps real people connected.

Sure,  sometimes I can't add "4 + 7" correctly,  but that's why God made Coffee.

For my password,  I chose "Cosmic Charlie"  but in Aramaic,  with 30 numerals of Pii in Roman Numerals.

Even my Dog has a hard time logging in,  but he is clever enough to open the fridge and steal Food.

I worked it out.

Comes out as "Darkstar" if I'm not mistaken.

That's not an easy Password to steal,  right ??

And mine has extra Roman Numerals and some Greek letters also.
It's almost Space-Station grade security.

Maybe that could allow the Russkies in,  but the Chinese are locked out,  and doomed to float around in Outer Space.
