Kashmir

Forums:

Two long time rivals, fighting over a slice of land, sound familiar?  Except that unlike Gaza or Ukraine, both foes posess nukes.  What could go wrong?

While you ponder that, here's the official video of Led Zeppelin performing Kashmir at Knebworth in 1979:

I watched Jason Bonham play Physical Graffiti in its entirety last night. Def some songs I don't think I've ever seen played before by anyone

When I was traveling in India back 2001 I met some Americans in Mount Abu. This was maybe a month after 9/11. I had decided to skip Srinigar in Kashmir because of the all the terrorist attacks and that was before 9/11.

The people we met were in Srinigar on 9/11 and were walking down the street when a TV crew came up to them and breathlessly asked them if they were Americans and when they said yes they asked them what they thought. They of course had no idea what the TV crew was talking about. So they told them and offered to bring them back to the TV station so they could see the footage. They did an interview for the TV crew which ended up being shown back in America on CNN. That was a good thing because their parents had been desperately trying to get in touch with them and they happened to see them on TV.

It's too bad it's so messed up because it is Lake Tahoe beautiful.

Will have to see how Pakistan retaliates.  In the meantime, stock price of France’s Dassault Aviation — the maker of the Rafale fighter jet - is down and stock price of China's Chengdu Aircraft Corporation are up after the Chinese made JF-17 fighter jets shot down the Rafale in dogfights.

As for Physical Graffiti, I saw Lez Zeppelin do that whole albums and it is indeed good to hear those deep tracks they never play on classic rock radio.  Some heavy hitters like the Wanton Song, the Rover, and Sick Again (Lez Zeppelin was super loud and sloppy, very much like later day Zepp).  I also just got the new Jimmy Page and Black Crows six-album live box set from the Greek.   Lots of Physical Graffiti stuff.  Chris Robinson does the songs justice, which isn't easy to do.

So the Douche Bag in Chief is quick to take credit for a ceasefire that he had nothing to do with (and just days after JD literally said it's not our problem).  Who would have thought?

We will see what happens, but apparently the ceasefire lasted about three hours and now they are back at it again.

No wars will happen under Trump .....
