Kings and Queens of Harmony

Forums:

There is a special singing bond that ties voices together in that special way that is unmatched by a single singer. Brothers and sister seem to be able to hit that sweet pocket like the Everly Brothers, Rich and Chris Robinson, The Roches, and lets not forget the Carter Family

to add to my list I will throw out another non brothers and ask who are your favorites?

Layne and Jerry

The Brothers Gibb (BG s...BeeGees)

I need to read the topic better! Brothers and sisters...of course Gram and Emmy are not! If I could say a name here you may not be familiar with... Lillie Mae.. the Rische sisters. Expert harmony singing clan out of Nashville I recently saw at Great American Music Hall.

Isley brothers

lennon & mccartney

Emmylou Harris and anybody. If you're looking for siblings, she's had a lot of siblings from another mother.

Devo

The Band

Next?

Wilbury Brothers

And those Doobies could sing, too

Phil Lesh has said, when the band was in the studio laying down the vocal tracks for Attics of My Life it was a very special & tender moment.

Heart

Currently, Lake Street Dive are ruling the harmony cosmos.  Bonus points for the drummer being an essential part of the blend.

I think a lot of people know who she is from her work with Jack White. Still, a good choice.

Nick Lowe

On Neil Young's Harvest & Harvest Moon albums:

Neil Young, James Taylor Linda Ronstadt

Delaney & Bonnie

The ladies of I'm With Her are also kicking ass on the blend.  Some serious instrumental chops there as well.

The Miracles and Smokey

Thelonius Monk- King

End thread

Yeah, he could family harmonize with the-best-of-them, that Monk.

The Roches,

OMG, they blow chunks. I mean serious chunks. My ex-wife liked them, I had to sit through a couple of their concerts to get laid, and man it was bad, three part nasal harmony.

If I were to add a positive contribution, it would be Del McCoury band. Father and two sons. Also Nickel Creek-siblings.

The Clancy Brothers

Wild Colonial Boy
