saw the incredible David Cross Band last night...What a show!! To follow the unbelievable Beat concert this past weekend made for difficult shoes to fill but this fantastic band rose to the challenge and subsequently exceeded every expectation I had for it.
To say I was looking forward to this would be an understatement, it’s no secret that Larks Tongues thru Red is my absolute favorite Crimson era. To have THE David Cross here was simply not to be missed.. his wizardry has not missed a step and we were treated to a wonderful run through his solo catalog, a few KC favorites and a full start to finish performance of Larks. Breathtaking from start to finish, I’m not sure I’ve witnessed someone able to bring a crowd from thunderous cheers to pin drop silence this dramatically since Jerry Garcia but this audience was hung on every note.
top 5 album of mine to begin with, I will no longer be able to listen to it the same way again. See this band if you can!!!
on a hilarious note, my two younger daughters were along tonight and the youngest asked David to sign her doll, something he graciously obliged saying that he has never been asked before

They just played Daryl's
They just played Daryl's House fifteen minutes away this past Sunday. Bad timing as the Mets were on plus I had minor surgery scheduled for first thing Monday AM. Oh well...next time!
