I mentioned this on the old
I mentioned this on the old spot and said I was surprised it was not a bigger story. The band I know was slated to play, then the STUDENTS expressed an unwillingness to play after Trump won. Many, not all, felt that they couldn't support his blatant racism/sexism. I found it to be refreshing that youth still felt comfortable protesting in support of their beliefs. This band has played at the Rosebowl and numerous other big time events. The other day, I heard that students still do not want to play because they also do not feel safe. So I guess Im saying that the reluctance to play came from the student musicians and I support that. Not the teachers, the band directors, or the liberal media (whatever that is). Go students!
Also Seafoam, picking on educators is way off base. You ever teach? Its a hard, under appreciated vocation. They quite literally help define the future of our country.
