LeftOver Nelson Sat. Sun. at TXR

Forums:

Who's going?

I will be there Sat. maybe Sun.

Anybody staying at the Embassy Suite?

crazy mud slides going on all around here, plus some high winds going on.

I'm definitely going on Sunday!

If there's any chance that I can make it to the Saturday show after I satisfy another commitment, you know that I'll be there.

In the meantime, stay high and dry, Bart.

Wish I could be there, and very glad you will be.

Bringing my Brother and SIL visiting from PA on Saturday night.  They are going to really dig the band, I'm sure.

What stinks is that for the 2nd time this winter, we are on Flood Watch.  May have to evacuate and stay with Bart wink

I've been thinking about you today, jamjuice.  Be safe.

Thanks JD, going to wait and see how much of a raging storm tomorrow brings.

We ground scored 2 Adirondack Chairs when the water receded last time.

Just got back from SF, wow what a wild day. 101 was clear of mud slides. Traffic was not that bad yet, lots of rain and fog. Had a nice lunch in the city. So much fun sitting in the radiation ward on a rainy day.

Looking forward to some LeftOver Nelson on a sunny day. It has been raining here for the last two weeks, oh what a vacation I am having

I hope you don't snore JamJuice wink

Vibes for Pete and Jamjuice. Hope your house is OK.

Looking forward to hanging with you Bart.   I will be there both days.

Try and make Sunday brunch also.  Bluegrass Dimension is a very great band.

I enjoyed the brunch last Sunday, could do it again if the sun is out. We did a cool road trip last week on N San Pedro to
China Camp then ended up on Grand Ave. to TXR a cool back way to get there. Lets talk

Hey guys!

Not fun navigating around here

going Saturday

If things don't let up, will be arriving by boat:)

things supposed to let up after tomorrow

Tahoe snow was really just rain, bummer

its been DEEP POWDER!

drive home from TXR Monday night was white knuckle all the way down and back

the parking lot was a lake!

Nelson going to at least be in the audience or just a phone in?!?!

This has been a hell of a wet winter! Be safe everybody. Jamjuice and Pete, I'm hoping for the best for you guys.

Wow, hey Ro, Pete and Jamjuice hope all is ok with the flooding!  Stay safe!

I hope Mr. Nelson is there.

Hope so!

not really sure where he is at on his recovery?

hope you guys are good, say hi to Mel:)

I just hope we have a house when we finally get home. The foothills have been getting some insane rains. 4 to 5 inches every day.

I'm in for both TXR shows... IF there's no road closures, flooding, landslides, etc., that prevent traveling from Humboldt

fingers crossed

anybody planning on hitting the Felton show tomorrow night?

Hall & Angie, and LLTD, perhaps?

Santa Cruz area, is in really bad shape with mud slides, down trees and road closures all over. After this storm tomorrow who knows what will be going on.

The rain has stopped in San Rafael for now. Lots of mudslides and flooding all around.

It is really nice having a few days off from going into the City. See everybody on Sat.

Yes we will be going to Sunday Brunch seeing Scott Law and the Blue Grass Dimensions

Have a safe drive Mark and Gary. Hope all is well with Jamjuice and Peak

See you in a few Ro.

IMG_0417_0.JPGMorning!

Glad it stopped!

this is my road and this is a a field behind the house that usually has horses and cows grazing...

Now, it's a lake with herons and ducks swimming

totally a mess!

Totaled up the rain amounts this am..........We are at 97.60 inches

The amphibians are rejoicing!

Great F'n show last night, but as expected, hardly anyone braved the horrendous conditions... besides dickyb and Jessica, none of the usual zone outatowners were there.

can't say I blame 'em (except Lance. and maybe Joel...), if it wasn't 10 minutes from the house, I probably wouldn't have gone either.  Like someone said about the conditions of hills around here: it's like butter in the microwave... one second it looks solid, the next it's a big melty mess.

But that didn't deter the band from getting here, and even though it was a private party sized crowd, they played a good long 2 set show with a TON of energy.

Just wish I had grabbed a setlist, 'cause my mind is a just little muddy today... I do remember more GD songs than usual (New Speedway Boogie being the highlight for me out of those), and Vince singing The Highway's Gone once in place of Where I Come From (got a good laugh from the crowd).

not sure we really needed that Rainmaker though(haha), but it was excellent as usual.

also blanking on the name of Dylan song they did... Nelson usually sings it, but Mookie and Vince traded verses so that was kind of cool and different.

on a side note, it's funny to me that whenever these shows are crowded, people fight (literally sometimes) for the rail, but when it's a sparse crowd, the whole rail stays pretty much wide open (which was the case last night).

Enjoy the TXR shows all who attend (probably not in the cards for us).

The Road is Muddy, but it won't be Muddy Long~

Budboy, since Oct.1? January 1?

Either way, that's a hell of a lot of rain. Stay solid.

hey Hall- Great hangin with u  and the Mrs. last night. it did have that private show feel! My first time at Don Q's. the Dylan tune was"Tonight I'll Be Staying Here With You" it's the last track on Nashville Skyline.

i made it home quickly on the 17. even though it was one lane (on the southbound side) it was only that way for about 2-3 miles. i even picked up a Lyft rider on the way home, so it paid for the show.

Musical Box on the 23rd at Regency Ballroom.

Judit, the official rain year for weather recording purposes starts on July 1. Needless to say, we had
no rain in July or August. Maybe an inch in September. So the rest is after October 1. It's raing again
today.....Oh My!

Right on, Dicky, great hangin' with you as well!  and good to hear your way home was not like your way there... still can't believe you even made it there via Skyline/hwy9.

hoping to make it to the Regency!

Finally ate at Sol Food yes

It was very good, super crowded

>>>can't say I blame 'em (except Lance<<<

I honestly didn't even know it was happening. I guess I should check MDQ's calendar more often.

I probably would have been daunted by the thought of being buried in a mud slide on 17 though.

Being buried in a mud slide would be a bummer.

^just slightly

and now they've closed 17 because that slide is so unstable (and it was even more unstable yesterday during the storm).

CAN'T GET TO THE SHOW!

>>>CAN'T GET TO THE SHOW<<<

Fortunately the peninsula is still above ground, and I've been planning on going to see a fine local salsa band called Pacific Mambo Orchestra at the Fox in Redwood City tonight, but I might make the effort to go all the way into the big city to see the Midnight North Plays The Band deal at the Great American Music Hall instead.

Overall it might not be that great, but I love the room, I'm sure it will be a low-key show with lots of friends around, and Phil is going to play for at least a little while, and I have an insatiable weakness for the sounds that guy makes with a bass guitar.

I am also planning on being at the Nelsonless Band show at TxR on Sunday. Another low-key show with lots of friends around, and I'll be just hangin' loose at that one.

Wow, you guys are intrepid. Well, maybe not Lance smiley

See some of you on Saturday. And Sunday.

Gonna be a blast. See y'all soon.

so wish I was gonna be there, wiggle a bit for me freaks, hopefully a stream pops up and stay safe

how was the show? did David show up or phone in ?

Mookie did a great Out in the Woods followed by Molo doing Bad Moon Rising right into Vince doing Poor House. Great seeing everyone, I really had a fun time. I do miss the real DNB but this was a fun solid band having fun with the usual fans in attendance. Finally it was a nice clear night with a big bad mooning shining over Terrapin all night. I went in to see the bar band which was parts of Hot Butter Rum with Scott Law and Aaron Redner doing most of the singing. Bryon Horne and Lucas Carlton made up the rest of the band. Thanks everyone for all the good vibes and Bud Boy for all the music he passed on to me. Hugs to all

How is David doing?

Great pic, Hall!

^Dynamolo!

Encores were:

Come Away - Pete Sears

4:20 (Long Years) - Vince

(And another Spliffy Tune?) - Vince

^Right?

E: Come Away , Two More Bottles Of Wine ,  420 > Wake & Bake

Thanks Budboy.   It was great to see you and Budgirl last night.   And all of the rest of you fine people.

Leftover Nelson Band really sounded like its own band last night.   Not the DNB with a substitute on vocals and guitar.   Katie's sit-ins added a sense of novelty as well.

Great show.

That being said, I can't wait for David's return.

Great set list and I'n sure a great show, but I'm with Johnny.
