Terrible news emerging tonight from Lewiston, where a mass shooter is currently still on the loose. We have a few Zoners past and present who live up in those parts. Wishing safety and peace on them, their families, their friends, and their neighbors.
In another time's forgotten space, the State Fairgrounds in Lewiston was ground zero of a great celebration of the majesty and light of the human spirit. Believe it if you need it:

The suspect, Robert Cord,
The suspect, Robert Cord, sounds like he is suffering from acute schizophrenia. His sister-in-law said he has been saying he has been hearing voices for the last year and a half from people at the bowling alley and bar he shot up, and would become angry when his family told him the voices were only in his head. Eerily reminiscent of what happened with the legendary drummer Jim Gordon before he killed his mom.
The lack of better mental health treatment in the U.S. is the proverbial chicken coming home to roost.
