thx patches i Saw Aerosmith in 1978 at the Santa Monica civic a Few moons ago.

Aerosmith was first 3 shows i saw...lol...77-77...springfield, new haven, springfield

My first Aerosmith show was  07/12/1978 at the Long Beach Arena in HelLA.  AC/DC was warming up for them (first time in US), and literally blew them off the stage (Bon Scott for the win!).  The twist, 2 years later I was at a Texas truckstop, and all these long haired guys approached us, turns out it was the band Nantucket, they were warming up for AC/DC on their first headlining US tour (Houston that night).  They were after some pot, but we'd been on the road for a month, heading back to HelLA, and were out.  But I pulled out my old 1948 Harmony Patricia "f" holed acoustic, with pellet gun holes, and other assorted ammenities, and played a few quick songs for them, good times!

Never caught an Aerosmith show, but I think "Toys In The Attic" was their last solid LP.

Heard a tale that they had chain-link fence in front of the stage on some 70's tour(s) to deflect thrown bottles.

Can anyone confirm that story ?

Rocks came after Toys in the Attic and I think that is their best.

I saw a few Aerosmith shows. One in the old days and two in the 90s

No fence. I doubt that story

I am reading Joe Perry's bio right now. It's good.

I got mixed up, Rocks was a better LP.  'Draw The Line' was the one after 'Rocks' and was the last one I enjoyed hearing on the Radio.

Nice string though w debut, toys , and get your wings..

>>>>>and literally blew them off the stage

Did they get hurt when they fell off?
