I usually stay away from factory farmed animal products, but its fun to go out to the beach with a shovel and bucket and load up on fresh clams:

Clams.jpgI will usually use them for Minorcan Clam Chowder, which is sort of a tomato based Manhattan style chowder but with the legendary Datil pepper thrown in to give it some heat and distinct flavor.
