Louis CK Netflix

Forums:

Didn’t like it all that much, and I usually love his work. He relied on delivery gimmicks, but didn’t have the material to back it up.

Jim Jefferies, Bill  Burr, Ali Wong, Hannibal Buress, Iliza Schlesinger all doing better work.

Haven't seen it yet, but I wouldn't put any of those comedians in the same class as Louie CK.

Must be a pretty dramatic fall off if that is indeed the case.

i thought it was hilarious, the entire hour+ had me in tears. good shit.

funny to see him in a suit tho.

Don't think it quite measured up to his last HBO special, but I did like it. His construction is still among the best. This was pretty dark material. Kill babies, kill yourself.

A friend said it was more like his shows and less like his other stand up which makes sense since I'm not a big fan of his shows, or maybe I just need to change my strain.

He's hosting a new SNL tomorrow.

Sometimes a special just doesn't land with a person, for whatever reason.

I agree Louie got weirdly tedious during the last season.

I liked it a lot. Watching it for the second time now.

Anyone seen Horace and Pete?

what up ateix.

loved it.

Dude just came to town and sold out the Moda Center real quick.  I tried getting tickets on Stubhub and Craigslist, but they were going for $100+ each for the cheap seats.  Sounds like from what I heard of the show that it was the same routine as on the new Netflix special.  Will have to check that out.

Funny thing is that after the Portland show, Louis stopped in at video arcade/bar and started doing a stand up routine for the patrons.  I guess he got in about 15 minutes before people passing by saw him and started packing the place.

Horace and Pete is brilliant

 As was his SNL hostery

I adore his dark

What about Dave Chapelle?

While he was in his bubble the rest of us were evolving. 2012 called and wants its jokes back.
