Love me some Peggy-O

Forums:

What are some great versions you know of

Irvine 85 is probably my fave

Followed by Capital Centre 9/25/76

The pace of the '86 ones is sublime.

The 9/25/76 one has always been my favorite.

4/12/78 is up there for me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NvFdfNt8plE

Have you heard this version?  In a carriage you will ride pretty Peggy O...

Englishtown 9/3/77 and Huntington, WVa 4/16/78 are a couple of good ones

Bobbyon that Peggy-O is sweet no? Brings tears to my eyes with Jerry's emotional playing. That whole show is steller IMO.

Jerry was a master of interpreting songs. He did Dylan better than Dylan IMO.

6-17-75 winterland

5-6-89 Frost

3-10-93 Rosemont

7-20-94 Deer Creek

Not sure of my favorite, but I for sure wish I was at Christmas jam to see this one...

I'm just a bit of a fan..;)

I don't know if it's "the best" version, but that one from Winterland in '75 has always been "the one" for me.

It just exemplifies the gentle, pin-drop quiet, drippy Grateful Dead I love the most.

I've seen some really nice Peggy-O's, but this one from the Cap Center on St Patty's day 1991 has become my favorite. A great version. This was a pretty sweet show with the debut of Reuben & Cherise as well.
