"Madison" - the musical

Forums:

Why didn't the author of the Bill of Rights get popularized in modern culture vs. Hamilton ... someone who would've preferred a constitutional monarchy?

Do you "like" musicals?

Can't wait for - Trump - the musical.

Hope he goes out like Orange Julius Caesar.

Et tu, Penceus?

I've heard Madison described as being anything but charismatic, in fact he always wore black ... although he did have his heart set on a 14 year old "woman" when he was in his 30's or early 40's.   But this was someone who was the chief architect of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, yet Hamilton would've walked the Revolution back beyond the threshold of no return if he had the chance.  Nonetheless, Hamilton gets chosen to be given the spotlight & accolades ... and people are eating up what amounts to historical revisionism in the sense of glorification of the "character" of Hamilton as a whole (this is not to undermine his major contributions or genius [even if it did border on being 'villian-esq'].

This is not to say Madison might not be looked upon as a villian for owning slaves.

12 U.S. presidents owned slaves at some point in their lives.

We had some family pictures taken at Montpelier this week.

Nice house.
