I met a sax player named
I met a sax player named David Ellis in '88 or '89 who was a public school music teacher in NJ. Kinda did a "Wait. What?" when I heard the name in a radio ad for the first Other Ones tour. It was determined (by someone; I forget who) it wasn't the same guy. But maybe Ellises are like Batistes. Making music all over.
My boss at the arts-in-the-schools non-profit I was working for talked him to into visiting our day-camp the following summer to demonstrate various saxes . Signature riffs associated with a particular sax.
I don't remember all. Baritone = Flintstones Theme, tho'.
