I saw blues guitarist Mike Zito last night at the Boulton Center and was thoroughly blown away.
Mike is now my new favorite blues guitar maestro. The man really has his shit together. The tone, the bends, the speed and the charisma. Has it all.
I video taped 4 songs from last night's show (unprofessionally), but if played at the proper volume, will demonstrate how cool this cat is.
He's a real nice guy, who was really friendly with the crowd during and after the show. We love the guy.
Mike covered CCR's Fortunate Son, which was killer.

he was in Royal Southern Brotherhood for a spell, heard he was living in the streets as an addict and devon heled him through. idk just what ive heard,great guitar player.

Wife and I have seen zito
Wife and I have seen zito many times for over a decade and really like him. He plays a mean guitar and sings relatively well for a blues singer. He used to play in CO about 4-5 times a year. Saw him play in trio's, quartets and jams with Tab Beniot, Cyril Neville and when he played in Royal Southern Brotherhood (RSB). Also, he did 2 tours with Samantha Fish.
Devon Allman was in RSB and said that Zito was the most prepared guitarist he had played with. Devon said all of his guitars with tuned, amp warmed up and set correctly, pedals knobs fixed to right positions, he would warm up so he could play from note one at a very high level. Devon said Zito made sure everything was set correctly before he started playing in RSB.
Have quite a few recordings with him though is he not on IA...
