The whole "Border Wall" is one of the most Idiocratic concepts ever  unfurled since mouldy skyscrapers that collapse from being pinched in the corner.

Do people here in TVLand really still believe that a large percentage of central American folks swim across the Rio Grand - Ee Ohh to come north and do landscaping & construction jobs ??

Actually, they take an "Aeroplane"  and  arrive ready for the job, fresh & sassy.  They will work for a buck & 1/4 less per hour than the native honkies, show up on time and not file any comp claims.  They send 1/2 their wages back home to the wife & kiddoes and fly back South when construction biz slows down.

But build a wall ???? How silly. Why not put the labor and $$ to something useful like bridge or levee repair?

I have a friend who owns a landscape business, and he told me it is hard to find US citizens to employ. He pays $15 to start and the folks applying are either immigrants or US citizens with legal issues. He said, "Tom, my Mexican employees never are late, or have to leave early, because they have to meet with their probation officer."

Milo is a gay Jew from the UK. Why he wants to stir the pot like this is beyond me.

But those rioters looked to have more in common with his side than any Cal students. 

Milo's whole shtick is to get people to protest him to the point that they cancel his talks. He can then claim that the libs are quelling free speech. It's all a game.

I saw that Cal students held a 5AM cleanup party, the morning after the protest/riot.  Talk about good organizing.

 

I can probably count on one hand the number of times that I woke up in time for breakfast during my college years.

I'd guess most snowflakes approve of Milo's right to free speech, and don't agree with it being squelched through violent protests. 

A trusted friend took the evening off from her postdoctoral work at Cal and hauled her eight-month-pregnant belly down to protest the white supremacist scheduled to speak there last night. This is her revealing story about how our media is being manipulated by the fascists.

When/why must we refer to the local USA folks as "Comrades" ??  You are not my fuckin' Comrade until you put in a few weeks of work on my 'Collective Farm' digging ditches, scraping paint and shoveling gravel, softy-hands.

The USSR (or CCCP) was a failed effort that imploded back in 1989-90 or so.  Anyone could look it up. There is information available on the internet or at the Public Library.  They had a better Space program than USA, but try buying a car, TV set (not that there was anything worth watching) or even Toilet Paper.  Also, it was a totalitarian regime and people could not leave the country, communicate freely or travel. No Beatles or Led Zep allowed !! They would hang you by your pubes if they caught you with that.

When I visited USSR in 1981, all of my "Fellow Travelers" (Soviet Kids) agreed that it totally sucked and they would rather move to Canada, USA, Finland, anywhere but their shitty communist dictatorship.

But they could not leave.  It was illegal, so only highly publicized 'Defectors' could get out alive.

 

So why are we supposed to think the Commie-Pinko fascist regime is some Golden Idol to bow down toward in collectivist worship ??  That is idiotic. Almost as idiotic as attending a riot while eight months pregnant.  I could not invent some more stupid tale if you paid me.

And explain again why it's such a great idea to set fires in the UC Berkeley student union building, break windows, beat people with sticks, and act like little silver-spoon socialist thugs. I, personally, would like to see today's college kids get even more violent with their protests.

Mr. Furious E. Not in agreement with the philosophy of college students engaging in violence. That sort of behavior only leads to harm.

While I never spawned, if I had college-age kids, my preference would be to see them avoiding violence and spending their precious Youth perfecting their chosen courses of study, learning Ragtime music (or Classical, or Krunk), having Sex and maybe learning a trade.

And I feel the same sentiment toward other people's College kids. I would much rather hear from my pals: "Stacey just got awarded a Grant to attend U. of Fiji for the Summer, and study Native Beekeeping techniques" instead of "Josie smacked three random people with her Killing-Stick".

That's just me. Today I'm still working on teaching Hüsky how to graft various Fruit Trees. It is a work in progress. So far He is only chewing the root-stock, but enjoys the occasional slice of Apple or Pear.

Optimistically, he has 10-12 years to get the grafting down, if all his systems continue to function. Right now, I enjoy teaching H.I.M. a worthwhile hobby, while he learns how to work the grafting blade.
