In the Rolling Stone interview he talks about going to see Charli XCX and the fact that she performs alone. He said he would find that intimidating, but then he also said with a laugh that he did consider the financial implications of touring like that.
Agree that the tickets are expensive but the costs for all the musicians and the set must be up there with what is usually stadium shows - without stadium show revenue. I feel better shelling out for this tour than I would be paying for Mayer's solo arena tour. Now that was a money grab.

Other than the number of musicians is there much of a set or stage show? All of the clips I've seen the stage looks pretty sparse. Not that I care but to compare this show to a stadium show?

I didn't say it was a cash
I didn't say it was a cash grab at all... only surprised at the increase between legs. I sprung for multiple shows on the last leg including front row, every seat i bought was worth every penny and more
