Mormon Prophecy ?

While ol' Salty Town is dominated by the mormons, who chased out the Native Americans who were here first, there is a healthy irreverence for the pious, and our Salt Lake Acting Company (SLAC) was responsible for an annual send up of the past year's events with "Saturday's Voyeur", a play on words of the mormon's production "Saturday's Warrior". It often parodied mormon  songs in some of it.

My favorite finale (I gagged on my drink laughing so hard) was years ago when they parodied "New York New York" to "Salt Lake Salt Lake"  (if I can make it here....) Rockettes dancers in background. 

Voyeur will no longer be an annual production at SLAC (too bad), but SLAC has been sending out digital shorts during this crazy time of no theater.

This one arrived today, and I'm posting it to give anyone interested a small taste of the "counter culture" in town. It's a "press conference" from our Salt Lake County Mayor interrupted by Brigham Young, with an appearance by the angel Moroni, who lost his trumpet during the earthquake Brigham references.
