10/08/89 ~ Hampton Coliseum - 2nd Set Opener ~ Help > Slip > Franklin's .

Gumby prevsiled over Godzilla after several Rounds.

Betty Boop was over at the Allman Brothers shows.

One of the nights of Hampton, either 87 or 88. Godzilla made it to the front row, right in front of Jerry. Jerry looked up after a jam, to see that reptile dancing away right in front of him. Jerry started laughing, and ripped into another jam, but every time he looked up he got a huge grin.

That's how I remember it.

What about the Alligator? I swear that sucker made it up front for the last half of 89 and all of 90. He always seemed to have better seats than myself. lol

I remember a jack straw with Godzilla bouncing in a frenzy.

Right then....

You knew it was going to be a good night.

gumby up front portland, me 86

gumby up front providence 83...also naked chick on stage at break....Parrish hauled her off......

Pine Knob 6/19/91 - dancing in the rear left side of the pavilion. Not doing any harm.

The crowd behind me was bouncing a blow-up Gumby with wooden blocks as ballast on its feet.

As it moved forward to the sounds of the boys playing Minglewood a wooden block hit me squarely at the base of my skull.frown

Left me in a daze for the rest of the set.

I got better.wink

Thanks for the memories.

>>What about the Alligator?

There was another guy who used to carry around a baby stuffed alligator.

I remember seeing Gumby and a Hell's Angels member walk by each other at an Oakland Coliseum show - I always thought that was a funny moment in time.

I only saw King Kong and Barney.

IMG_6238.JPG Not a lot of unusual ones..  but I did see a slim body at a NYE show in ca that freaked me out a little..

Scarlet, that is kind of creepy!

Lol oh it was, Judit!  Especially after too much too fast :-/

I imagine! Or really, I don't want to! smiley
