moving to Marin... lots of questions!

hey all. been a minute since I made my way over here to say anything. Saw Fitzman last night at Grateful Shread, he sends his regards...
So... it looks like I am moving to San Rafael. Can someone give me an impression of the Glenwood Elementary School in San Rafael? I have a 6 yr old and where she goes to public school is as important to us as where we end up living...
Also, we are looking at a home on Bayview Dr. I am pretty certain the neighborhood is strong... but I am open to local opinions of both Glenwood Elementary and the hood up on Bayview Dr.

Jon, I've asked a friend who teaches at San Rafael High about Glenwood Elementary - she's only been in the district for 2 years so she'll ask around. I hear the neighborhood is as it's been for years. I've been visiting my mom in Marin and trying to get a little time for a side trip to look at Bayview (looking for something new to see) but haven't made it.
I'll let you know what I hear.

Thanks all. We actually settled in Novato and the Pleasant Valley Elementary School. Better rents then San Rafael for what appears to be a nicer property. We arrive 8/10 or there abouts. Rented a home in what appears to be a nice neighborhood.
If anyone is familiar with Novato, I would be grateful to hear back on this thread. I have never been there myself but very excited to become a part of the community.
