Will Phish eventually break the Grateful Dead's record of 52 concerts performed at Madison Square Garden, the most performed by a band?

Very likely.

Phish will play 13 concerts at MSG during the summer of 2017. The final show will be their 52nd, tying the Dead.

It is a safe bet that they will return to MSG for a multi-night New Years Eve run in either December 2017 and/or 2018 for their 53rd performance at the venue.

What # is Billy Joel up to now?

88

Billy Joel holds the record.

Absolute Zero.

Hi Ya.

Did the Grateful Dead ever play MSG in the middle of Da summer?

No. Two shows in the end of summer, 9/20/82 & 9/21/82 both were still summer autumn began 9/23/82?

Seems like it's gonna be a hot one on the sidewalks of NYC ..better bring a lot of beer money for air-conditioned bar hopping..

I don't think Billy Joel counts as a band.

I heard Billy Joel broke up.

Seen the Grateful Dead there many times,  bunch of Phish shows, one Further, one Yes, a concert or two I can't recall,  the Circus, a Horse show and a Russian circus.  The last couple were in the Felt Forum.

Don't think I ever saw a Hockey or Basketball game there, maybe the Globetrotters as a kid.

The late 70's -> early 80's were hilarious there.  The union nickel-bag dealers would hawk their wares in the venue in a very organized fashion, working their way up from the floor through the aisles.

52 eh?

Bet I was at least at 40 of them.

What female singer performed at the Spectrum more than Jerry?

kate smith

ding

female singers for $400 please

Who is Nellie Furtado?

It's a Taco Bell dish. (Combo #7).

Isn't Springsteen up there somewhere too?

Elton is up there too I believe. Not sure how many.

You got it Tatters. I should check first. Springsteen's in the 40's. Billy Joel beat Elton John's record.

Bob Weir?

Is Weir the guy that sings natl anthem at Ranger games??

The Grateful Dead played MSG on 9/4 and 9/5 1979.....technical summer.

Hey Stu, thanks for the offer but I'm having dinner with a few friends from work tomorrow evening. No idea what time I'll be home.

I caught a few Rangers games at the Garden. The best was when they'd host the Islanders. There'd be better fights in the stands than on the ice. Especially when Dennis Potvin was on the Isles. Man, Rangers fans hated that guy. Saw the Knicks a couple times too.

For Jambone, John Amirante's final performance of the national anthem at the Garden 4-18-15
