My First Pantyhose ...

Forums:

I've never purchased a pair (set? pair? garment?)  for myself until yesterday.  Had a lot of fun in Art class with the L'Eggs Eggs back in the 70's... They were such great sculpture objects on a low budget.  Every kid's Mom would donate those Eggs.

But it dawned on me that I needed some sort of mesh pre-filter for my shop-vac.  I just purchased a new filter, and they are spendy. So I thought of old t-shirt or foam packing material as stuff to wrap around that filter.

Really,  I figure the pantyhose are the perfect fabric to allow maximum airflow and trap dust particles.

Film at eleven.

Here's a couple snaps of my new hosiery.

I haven't tried them on yet blush

I purchased the "Queen Size" for maximum fabric.  Shop-vac filters are expensive, but this slinky undergarment filter only set me back one dollar.

I figured they may have been crotchless........

I'm going to start with a triple-wrap layer on the filter at first, with one foot and a rubber-band, see how that works.

All the fine dust clogs the pleats on the filter, then you have to smack it to remove the dust, or blow it off with a compressor.

Maybe I'll put them on my head and go rob a liquor store, which would allow me to just buy a whole case of filters  cheeky

There's a filter inside the shop vac. What exactly are you trying to filter out, DStu?

NedB,

I explained that I'm trying for a prefilter approach in order to save $$$ on the filters.

Also,  I found a bubble-mailer with a few CD's for you, which I spaced upon ages ago.

So email me a proper address and within a few eons I'll send them.
