My Little Brother Steven

Yesterday, December 9th, was the third anniversary of his death.  Some of us, including me, Roshambo, & Blaise, met @ his destroyed homesite.  We pulled up & there was a deer in the yard who just stood & watched us even as Wild Bill Roared up into the driveway on his Harley.  We talked & shared stories and laughed.  We had some tequila & I had some of his last crop.

We dug a hole & put some ashes in it along with some of Marilyn Monroe's rose petals.  Years ago, when in L.A. a buddy & I would visit Marilyn's tomb & Joe's flowers would be there. Some petals would fall off & litter the ground & a maintainance man would sweep them up & discard them. I collected some of those petals.  Wild Bill threw his sunglasses & a penny, that he wore on a chain, in the hole. Surfer Viking Don threw a 50 cent piece he found on the beach while surfing with Steven 40 years ago in the hole.  Blaise threw a joint and poured some tequila in the grave. Roshambo was our Master of Ceremony's. Others present were life long friends Brian & Virginia.

Roshambo's Pomeranian, Wiley, was with us & he is such a good dog. He never frightened the deer & walked around & smiled.

Afterwards we went to The Union Hotel & had lunch. If was fun visiting with friends but would have been so much more fun had Steven been eating too.
